Gary Hiller

Gary Hiller is a seasoned business executive whose professional career path has taken him from legislative analyst on Capitol Hill, to corporate transactional attorney, to executive management with a focus on business and corporate development for early stage companies.

Mr. Hiller brings 30 years of diverse entrepreneurial and legal experience to the launch of Phytecs, including extensive work in advancing technology innovation and intellectual property creation. He served in multiple executive roles at a technology company that developed and provided business information services and project management solutions – transforming the company into a profitable and attractive acquisition target. He also launched an innovative market research division at an online ticketing portal that provided actionable data intelligence to movie studios and marketing firms.

In addition to past political consulting and legislative affairs work, Mr. Hiller practiced law in a national law firm’s corporate finance group, representing business entities, investment banks, financial institutions and investors in a broad range of corporate and securities transactions. He also practiced law at a boutique healthcare law firm, specializing in business development opportunities and regulatory compliance matters for individuals and entities working in highly-regulated healthcare industries.

Mr. Hiller received his undergraduate degree in political science in 1988 from the University of Pennsylvania and later earned his JD from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, where he graduated cum laude and Order of the Coif. He received American Jurisprudence Awards in Commercial Law and Legal Writing, served as Editor of the Loyola of Los Angeles International and Comparative Law Journal and was a member of the St. Thomas More Law Honor Society. Mr. Hiller is also a graduate of the Wexner Heritage Foundation Fellowship program.
